Arthur Francis Nicholas Wills Hill, 9th Marquess of Downshire (born 4 February 1959), known professionally as Nick Downshire, is a British peer, landowner, and accountant.

Downshire was born in 1959, the son of Robin Hill. Like his father, he is a chartered accountant, and worked in that capacity, and then in corporate finance, for Touche Ross[1] from 1981 to 1987.[2] In 1988, he became the finance director for Scheduling Technology Group (STG),[1][2] and was styled Earl of Hillsborough after his father succeeded as Marquess of Downshire in 1989.

Scheduling Technology Group was sold in 2001[1] to Manugistics, Inc.; he remained acting finance director until 2002. He now holds a number of non-managing directorships and runs the family estate in Yorkshire,[2] which he inherited when he succeeded his father as Marquess of Downshire in 2003. He inherited the title of Baron Sandys from a distant cousin in 2013. Nicholas Downshire became a member of the Council of the Duchy of Lancaster in January 2018.

Downshire has four children from his marriage to Diana Jane (Janey) Bunting, daughter of Diana Middleton and Gerald Leeson Bunting, solicitor, of Otterington House, Northallerton:

  • Lady Isabella Diana Juliet Hill (b. 3 April 1991)
  • Lady Beatrice Hannah Georgina Hill (b. 10 February 1994)
  • Edmund Robin Arthur Hill, Earl of Hillsborough (b. 21 May 1996)
