Obo is the capital of Haut-Mbomou, one of the 14 prefectures of the Central African Republic. According to data used within Google Earth, the population is 12,787. It is close to the African Pole of Inaccessibility. In Obo, there is an abandoned mission school where the founder Donald E. Linquist is buried.[citation needed]
