Pengkalan Chepa

Pengkalan Chepa is known as an airport town and also a parliamentary constituency in Kelantan, Malaysia. Pengkalan Chepa is where the Sultan Ismail Petra Airport is located. It is located about 8 km from Kota Bharu.

Education[]

There are several important education institutions and boarding schools nearby which includes: Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, Institut Pendidikan Guru Malaysia Kampus Kota Bharu, Darulnaim College of Technology (KTD), MRSM Pengkalan Chepa, and Sekolah Menengah Sains Kelantan (now named Sekolah Menengah Sains Tengku Muhammad Faris Petra, after Kelantan's regent).

There is also an army camp located near the airport. There are many schools there such as SMU(A) Tarbiah Mardhiah Panchor, SK Pengkalan Chepa, SK Dato' Hashim 1 & 2, SK Kemumin, SK Parang Puting, SK Sabak, SMK Pengkalan Chepa 1 & 2 and others.

Shopping and foods[]

Jalan Pengkalan Chepa is famous for its satay or skewers. The main attraction is the Satay Baung where the locals will queue to buy satay every time there is seasonal occasion such as the Eid celebration.[citation needed]
