Pokémon: The Arceus Chronicles[1] [a] is a special arc of four episodes from Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series, which promotes the Pokémon game Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

The first two episodes were released in Japan on TV Tokyo and Amazon Prime Video on January 21, 2022 and later, the last two episodes were released on January 28 (to coincide with the release of Pokémon Legends: Arceus).[2] In August, the special series' English dub premiered at the 2022 Pokémon World Championships, which was held at the ExCeL convention center in London.[3] The series was released as a feature film on September 23, 2022, on Netflix worldwide outside of Asia.[2] The events of the specials take place between the 24th season of Pokémon Master Journeys: The Series and the 25th season of Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series.

Synopsis[]

When Ash, Pikachu, and friends receive a mysterious message from the Mythical Pokémon Arceus, they meet up with their old friend Brock and head to Mount Coronet to investigate. There, they find a rampaging Heatran and the group responsible—Team Galactic, previously thought to be dismantled. The team's commanders are determined to find their missing leader by opening a gate between dimensions. With a trio of Legendary Pokémon and Sinnoh Champion Cynthia on their side, our heroes have a lot of help, but they will need all they can get to save Sinnoh!
