Rock Rail is a British rolling stock company (ROSCO) established in 2014.

History[]

Rock Rail was founded in 2014 by Rock Infrastructure as a rolling stock company. In February 2016 it made its first purchase of 25 Class 717s for Govia Thameslink Railway.[1] In October 2016, it financed the purchase of 20 Class 745 and 38 Class 755s for Abellio Greater Anglia.[2][3] Further contracts were entered into in 2020 for the purchase of Class 701ss for South Western Railway, Class 805 and 807s for Avanti West Coast, and Class 810s for East Midlands Railway.[4][5][6][7]
