Velčice is a village and municipality in Zlaté Moravce District of the Nitra Region, in western-central Slovakia.

History[]

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1232.

Geography[]

The municipality lies at an elevation of 224 metres (735 ft), and covers an area of 34.705 square kilometres (13.400 sq mi). In 2017 it had a population of 844 inhabitants.^[3]
