Wildcat was the post office serving Wildcat Creek (a tributary of Goose Creek) in Clay County, Kentucky, United States.[2] Traditional accounts are that the creek was named in 1815 for wild cats, the favourite target for hunters who settled there.[2] The postoffice itself was established on 1930-09-13 by first postmaster Lillie B. Hacker, located at the mouth of the creek, and closed in August 1985.[2]
