Şah Sultan was daughter of Bayezid II and Bülbül Hatun.

Biography[]

Şah Sultan was born in 1474. Some sources call her even Şehzade Şah Sultan.[1] She married to Nasuh Bey in 1489 or 1490, who was governor of Alexandria, Shkodër, and Silistre.[2] With him she had a daughter.

Death[]

Şah Sultan died after 1506, when she built a mosque.[3] According to Öztuna, suggested date of her death is around 1534.[4] It is known, when she died, she owned several estates in Dimetoka, which she dedicated to charity. When she died, she was buried beside her sister Hatice.
