Želetava (German: Schelletau) is a market town in Třebíč District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,500 inhabitants.

History[]

Želetava was first mentioned in a written document in 1303.

Economy[]

Želetava is known for a cheese factory, which has been operating since 1902. Since 2000 the factory is owned by Bel Group.[2]
