Blatec is a village and municipality (obec) in Olomouc District in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic.

The municipality covers an area of 6.58 square kilometres (2.54 sq mi), and has a population of 609 (as at 3 July 2006).

Blatec lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) south of Olomouc and 212 km (132 mi) east of Prague.
