Cardinia Road railway station is located on the Pakenham line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the south-eastern Melbourne suburb of Pakenham, and it opened on 22 April 2012.[1]

Construction works commenced in October 2010, and the station opened eighteen months later.[citation needed]

Flashing light signals were provided at the former Cardinia Road level crossing, which was located at the Up end of the station, in 1978, with boom barriers provided later on in 1986.[2] On 6 December 2020, the level crossing was grade separated, and was replaced with a road overpass, at part of the Level Crossing Removal Project.[3] The boom barriers, flashing lights and bells were dismantled in February 2021.[4]
