Changi East Depot (Malay: Depot Changi East; Simplified Chinese: 樟宜东车厂; Traditional Chinese: 樟宜東車廠; Tamil: சாங்கி ஈஸ்ட் டெப்போ) is a full maintenance train depot located in Changi East, Singapore. Currently under planning, it will be constructed and operational from 2030 onwards.[1]

The Depot will serve the upcoming Cross Island line and will include a rail administration building, stabling yard and maintenance shed. The administrative building will house the OCC for the Cross Island Line.[2][3]

The depot will be located off Aviation Park MRT station on the Cross Island line.

History[]

The depot is first announced by the Land Transport Authority on 25 January 2019 and was initially planned to be an underground train depot, but is expected to be an at-grade depot located at the Eastern Region of the Changi Planning Area.[4][5]

Contract CR101 for the construction of Changi East Depot and its associated facilities was awarded to China Jingye Engineering Corporation Limited (Singapore Branch) at a sum of S$1.05 billion on 28 May 2021. Construction will begin in the second half of 2021, with completion in 2030.[6][7]
