"Complice" (Italian pronunciation: [ˈkomplitʃe, ˈkɔm-]; transl. "Accomplice") is an Italian-language song by alternative rock group Miodio from San Marino. The song and group were chosen internally to be the first representatives of the nation in the Eurovision Song Contest, at the 2008 contest in Belgrade.

The song was composed by Francesco "Sancho" Sancisi who was the keyboardist of the group Miodio, and written by Nicola Della Valle, who was the vocalist of the group. The official video of the song was released when Miodio were announced as representatives of San Marino.

Eurovision Song Contest[]

Radiotelevisione della Repubblica di San Marino (SMRTV) received 50 entries after calling for submissions to represent San Marino in thei debut at the Eurovision Song Contest. "Complice" was selected by the seven-member expert jury which was appointed by the broadcaster. The song was performed at the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2008, held in Belgrade, Serbia on 20 May 2008. At the close of voting, the song placed last of the nineteen entries, having received five points in total: three from Greece and two from Andorra. It therefore did not qualify for the grand final held on 24 May 2008. After coming last in Eurovision, Miodio went on to compete in the Golden Stag Festival in Romania, as well as the Pjesma Mediterana contest in Montenegro.[1][2][3] They also went on tour in Italy, San Marino and Moldova during the summer.[4]
