Before Eurovision[]

Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2008[]

Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2008 was the 38th edition of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, the music competition that selects Denmark's entries for the Eurovision Song Contest. Sixteen songs competed over two semi-finals on 12 and 19 January 2008, two radio wildcard rounds between 21 and 25 January 2008, and a final on 2 February 2008. All shows were hosted by Camilla Ottesen and Adam Duvå Hall. Eight songs competed in each semi-final and the top four songs qualified to the final. An additional two songs out of the remaining non-qualifying acts in the semi-finals qualified to the final from the wildcard rounds which took place at radio stations P3 and P4. The results in the semi-finals and wildcard round were determined exclusively by a public vote, while the overall winner in the final was determined by regional televoting. Viewers were able to vote via telephone or via SMS.

Competing entries[]

The broadcaster received 443 entries. 16 songs were selected from the entries submitted to the broadcaster for the national final.
