The flags of the Canadian provinces and territories exhibit a variety of regional influences and local histories, as well as different styles and design principles. Nonetheless, the majority of the provinces' and territories' flags consists of either escutcheons superimposed on a flag or a banner of arms.

The most recently adopted provincial and territoral flag is that of Nunavut, adopted on April 1, 1999.
