Gura Ialomiţei Solar Park, a large thin-film photovoltaic (PV) power system, will be built on a 5 ha plot of land near the Gura Ialomiței commune in Romania. The power plant will be a 2-megawatt solar power system using state-of-the-art thin film technology, and should be implemented in 2012 if financing approved in 2011.[1] The solar park is expected to supply 4 GWh of electricity per year.[1]

The installation will be in the Ialomiţa County in south-eastern Romania. The investment cost for the Gura Ialomiţei solar park amounts to some Euro 10 million.[1]
