Jeebropilly is a rural locality in the City of Ipswich, Queensland, Australia.[2] In the 2016 census Jeebropilly had a population of 7 people.[1]
Geography[]
This location is situated at the junction of the Ipswich - Rosewood Road and the Ebenezer Road, 42 km (26 mi) from the Brisbane CBD. It is within the County of Churchill.
History[]
The origin of the name is from an Aboriginal word meaning flying squirrel gully.[2]
In the 2016 census Jeebropilly had a population of 7 people.[1]
Economy[]
New Hope Corporation Ltd has restarted mining coal at its Jeebropilly coal mine, which it had previously closed in 2007.[3]
