Inception is a 2010 science fiction thriller film directed and written by Christopher Nolan. Released to critical and commercial success, the film was named one of the ten best films of the year by National Board of Review and American Film Institute.

Inception won the 83rd Academy Awards for Best Cinematography, Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing and Best Visual Effects, and was nominated for a total of eight, including Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay.[1] With four wins, the film tied The King's SpeechBest Picture winner—for most wins of the ceremony.
