The following is a list of awards and nominations received by Morgan Freeman. A five-time Academy Award nominee and five-time Golden Globe Award nominee, he won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor (musical or comedy) for the 1989 film Driving Miss Daisy, and the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for the 2004 film Million Dollar Baby. He was a recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors in 2008. His other honorary awards include the AFI Life Achievement Award in 2011, the Cecil B. DeMille Award in 2012 and the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award in 2018.
