List of places in South Australia by population

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is a list of cities/towns in South Australia by urban centre population.

Largest urban centres or localities by population[]

The Australian Bureau of Statistics generally defines an Urban Centre as a population cluster of 1,000 or more people, and classifies people living in Urban Centres as urban for statistical purposes.[1] The following figures represent the populations of the contiguous built-up areas of each city.

Suburbs of Adelaide are not included, with the exception of the outer localities of Gawler, Mount Barker, Crafers-Bridgewater and Nairne, which can be considered as both semi-rural suburbs and separate towns.
