Liu Xiening (Chinese: 刘些宁, Korean: 류셰닝; better known by her English name Sally Liu or simply Sally (Korean: 샐리) is a Chinese singer and dancer. She is a former member of South Korean girl group Gugudan. She is currently a member of Chinese girl group BonBon Girls 303 after finishing sixth in the survival show Produce Camp 2020.
Career[]
Pre-debut[]
Sally was a former CF model in China.
On November 10, 2015, she appeared on VIXX's "Chained Up" music video.
2016-2018: Gugudan[]
She debuted as a member of Gugudan on June 28, 2016 with the group's first mini album Act.1 The Little Mermaid.
2020: "Time to Bloom", Produce Camp, Bon Bon Girls 303, Gugudan disbandment[]
On February 21, she released her first Chinese digital single, titled "Time to Bloom".
On April 8, it was announced she will be participating as a contestant on the survival show Produce Camp 2020.[2] She ranked 6th on episode 10, hence becoming a member of the project girl group BonBon Girls 303.[3]
On June 12, Sally revealed that Jellyfish Entertainment had told the members of Gugudan to leave their dorms. She also stated that the agency told her to go back home at the beginning of 2019, and when she asked when should she come back, the agency simply had told her that there was no reason for her to come back.[4]
On August 11, she officially debuted as a member of BonBon Girls 303, with the release of their first mini album, titled The Law of Hard Candy.
On December 30, Jellyfish Entertainment confirmed the status of Gugudan, stating that the group would officially disband on December 31.[5]
