Before Eurovision[]
Skopje Fest 2007[]
Skopje Fest 2007 was a song contest organized by MKRTV that served as Macedonia's national final to select their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007. The competition took place on 24 February 2007 at the Universal Hall in Skopje, hosted by Milanka Rašić, Živkica Gjurčinovska and Igor Džambazov and was broadcast on MTV 1 and MTV Sat.[1]
Competing entries[]
MKRTV received 150 submissions from interested artists and composers during a submission period. Fifteen entries were selected from the open submissions, while an additional three entries were submitted by artists directly invited by MKRTV for the competition.[2] The fifteen competing artists and songs were announced on 24 January 2007.[3] Among the competing artists was former Macedonian contest entrants Karolina Gočeva who represented Macedonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002.
Final[]
The final took place on 24 February 2007. All fifteen competing entries were accompanied by the MRT orchestra. Regional televoting from twelve districts across Macedonia selected "Mojot svet" performed by Karolina Gočeva as the winner.[4] In addition to the performances of the competing entries, the competition featured guest performances by the "Rebis" Ballet, 2006 Macedonian Eurovision representative Elena Risteska, 2005 Croatian Eurovision representative Boris Novković and 2007 Belarusian Eurovision representative Dmitry Koldun.
