Maidstone Borough Council (MBC) is the second level local authority for the Borough of Maidstone in Kent, United Kingdom.
History[]
The Local Government Act 1972 created the Borough of Maidstone by merging , and Hollingbourne Rural District. Maidstone Borough Council was established as the local authority for the new borough. It took over the responsibilities of , and in its area. The council started functioning on 1 April 1974.
