  • Died: Jeanne-Paule Marie "Jeannine" Deckers, also known as "Soeur Sourire" and "The Singing Nun", 51, Belgian singer-songwriter and Dominican nun. Deckers committed suicide, along with her friend Annie Pécher, by overdosing on barbiturates and alcohol[59]
