Datuk Dr. Marcus Mojigoh (born 21 June 1952) is a Sabah-Malaysian politician. He has represented the Homeland Solidarity Party (STAR party) for Putatan constituency since December 11, 2021.[3]
Political career[]
Mojigoh's first political party was UPKO in the Barisan Nasional Sabah coalition. Mojigoh was elected to federal Parliament in the 2004 election using BN-UPKO logo defeating a People's Justice Party (PKR) candidate for the seat of Putatan.[4][5] In 2018, he agreed with Datuk Wilfred Madius Tangau (UPKO President) to leave Barisan Nasional Sabah after the coalition defeat in 2018 Malaysian general election. In 2020, he left UPKO and became an Independent politician. On December 11, 2021 (Saturday), Datuk Dr Marcus M. Mojigoh, who has been partyless for about a year after he left UPKO, joined Homeland Solidarity Party (STAR Sabah) under the leadership of Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Jeffrey G. Kitingan (signed up for the STAR Party since Friday, confirmed on Saturday).[6]
