Pucará District is one of ten districts of the province Lampa in Peru.[1]

Geography[]

One of the highest peaks of the district is Qullqi at 4,916 m (16,129 ft). Other mountains are listed below:[2]

Ethnic groups[]

The people in the district are mainly indigenous citizens of Quechua descent. Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (77.40%) learnt to speak in childhood, 22.22% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).[3]
