Shumanay District (Uzbek: Shumanay tumani, Karakalpak: Shomanay rayonı) is a district of Karakalpakstan in Uzbekistan. The capital lies at the city Shumanay.[1] Its area is 780 km2 (300 sq mi) and it had 55,700 inhabitants in 2019.[2]

There is one city (Shumanay) and seven rural communities (Birleshiq, Begjap, Diyqanabat, Ketenlar, Mamiy, Aqjap, Sarmanbaykoʻl).[1]
