Wyaralong is a locality in the Scenic Rim Region of South East Queensland, Australia.[2] At the 2016 census, the locality recorded a population of 20.[1]
Geography[]
Wyaralong is home to the Wyaralong Dam which was built along Teviot Brook, a tributary of the Logan River.[3]
Road infrastructure[]
The Beaudesert–Boonah Road (State Route 90) runs through from south-east to west.
History[]
Wyaralong State School opened on 30 June 1924 but closed in 1930. It reopened on 16 February 1938. It closed on 1965.[4]
In 1940, the area was used for air gunnery practice exercises, the first in Queensland.[5]
