The 2022 Alaska Senate elections will take place on November 8, 2022, with the primary elections being held on August 16, 2022.[1] Voters in Alaska will elect state senators in 10 of the state's 20 Senate districts. State senators serve four-year terms in the Alaska Senate, with half of the seats up for election every two years.[2]
Following the previous election in 2020, Republicans had control of the Alaska Senate with 13 seats to Democrats' 7 seats. One Democrat caucused with the Republicans, giving them a governing majority of 14 seats.
