The 2022 season will be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 47th in the National Football League (NFL) in Tampa, Florida, and their fourth under head coach Bruce Arians.

The Buccaneers will attempt to improve on their franchise-best 13–4 record from 2021, and look to achieve a playoff berth in a third consecutive season. The club will defend their NFC South division title, and attempt to win a division crown in consecutive seasons for the first time in franchise history.

On February 1, 2022, quarterback Tom Brady announced his retirement from the league.[1][2] Brady had one season remaining on his contract with the Buccaneers. However, on March 13 after only forty days, he reversed his decision, and announced he would return for the 2022 season.[3] Brady's announcement triggered a flurry of free agent signings, re-signings, and restructuring, including Chris Godwin,[4] Leonard Fournette,[5] Shaq Mason,[6] Russell Gage,[6] Carlton Davis,[5] Ryan Jensen[7] and others.
