Location of Prešov District in the Prešov Region.

Janov (Hungarian: Janó) is a village and municipality in Prešov District in the Prešov Region of eastern Slovakia.

History[]

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1341.

Geography[]

The municipality lies at an altitude of 302 metres and covers an area of 4.72 km2 (1.82 sq mi) (2020-06-30/-07-01).[1]

It has a population of about 331 people (2020-12-31).[2]
