According to Japanese Coast Guard official announced, a wooden passenger boat, from Ikuchi Island to Onomichi , Hiroshima Prefecture , Seto Islands Sea, this boat 239 persons were on board, which were more than three times capacity, however, not stormy weather at this accident, 126 persons were rescued, 113 persons were lost to lives.[35]
