Bigg Boss 6 is the sixth season of the Telugu version of the Indian reality television series Bigg Boss based on the Dutch series Big Brother and produced by Endemol Shine India (now merged with Banijay). The show is launched on 4 September 2022 on Star Maa along with a 24/7 Live stream on Disney+ Hotstar^[1] with Nagarjuna as a host for the fourth consecutive year.^[2][3]

Unlike the previous seasons, this season features general public along with the celebrities as a housemates.^[4][5] Rohit and Marina became the second couple to enter the show after Varun Sandesh and Vithika Sheru in season 3, but unlike Varun and Vithika who played as individuals, Marina and Rohit will play as a duo, meaning if they are nominated they will be nominated together, if evicted they will both be evicted, and even they should play together as duo but later it was changed from week 5 as individuals.^[6]

Auditions[]

On 26 May 2022, The makers of the show as released a promo where Nagarjuna as announced that common man can participate in season 6 as ticket to BB6. The auditions were done by starmaa.startv.com website.^[7][8]

Teaser[]

The show organizers officially released a teaser using the show's logo on 4 August 2022. On 9 August 2022, a new teaser released with Nagarjuna as a host and promo shoot directed by Prasanth Varma. On 19 August 2022, it was confirmed that the show would premiere on 4 September 2022 on Star Maa and Disney+ Hotstar.^[9][1]

The eye of Bigg Boss is shaped in a colourful way and the makers also mentions on teaser that Bigg Boss Season 6 makes it more captivating to audiences across all age groups. The color palette used for the fluidic lines comes together to create an intense emotional experienced once the show begins. This time, the Bigg Boss eye is alluring enough to get the audience's anticipation amplified.^[2]

24x7 Streaming[]

The show stands out for the fact that it will stream 24x7 live on Disney+ Hotstar and an hour-long episode every day on Star Maa. The episodes will be first telecasted through 24 Hours Live Channel on a paid subscription to Disney+ Hotstar.^[10][11]

For the 1st task, Adi and Inaya would be tied together by a rope and would have to hold coconuts in one hand and a baton in the other. They would have to try to spill the water on the coconut of the other player. Adi won the task and swapped Shrihan from class. Geetu was chosen to go to the Class, and Aditya decided to go to the Trash. 2nd the task, Neha and Revanth were selected to play a slider game, in which water was to be filled into a jar from another jar, with the players sliding a glass of water on a table from the first jar and pouring it into the second jar if it crosses the line on the table. Later, Revanth won the game and leveled up to Class. 3rd task Inaya and Neha were chosen for the Dice task, where players from Mass and Trash had to roll themselves in a net box to the center of the ground. Neha won the game and leveled up to Class, while Inaya remained in Trash. Aditya, Abhinaya, and Inaya are now directly nominated, and Adi, Geetu, and Neha saved from nomination.
	Jail	Day 5: Geetu Royal as the least performing candidates of the week, and were sent to jail.
	Captaincy Task	Day 5: Adi, Aditya, Geetu, Neha, Marina & Rohit, and Surya were the contenders for the captaincy task. As part of this task, all those who wished to contend for the role had to fish out keys from the water in the tub. After procuring the keys, they had to unlock a box and look at the number in the box. Based on this number, which they have to remember, they have to arrange the number plate of the cars allotted to each person participating in the game. Bala Aditya became the House Captain of Week 2.

	Luxury Budget Task	Day 9-10: The first task given to the housemates was the baby task, where each contestant was given a toy baby and asked to take care of it as if it were a real one. Contestants were also told to put the babies of other players in the lost and found section if someone was not taking good care of a baby. Some prams were stationed outside the house, where babies were to be put at the sound of the buzzer. The second task for the day was the sack task, in which those who wished to participate had to get into and run a few feet. Players also had to fill up boards assigned to them with the shapes on the boards, with the shapes provided to them at the start line. Chanti won the task and became eligible for the captaincy task. On the other hand, Geetu put three babies in the lost and found section, which included the babies of Revanth, Abhinaya, and Sri. This meant that these three players were no longer eligible to be part of the captaincy task. Later Chanti, Inaya, Raj, and Surya won the task and became the captaincy contenders.
	Jail	Day 13: Sri Satya as the least performing candidates of the week, and were sent to jail.
	Captaincy Task	Day 11-12: Chanti, Inaya, Raj, and Surya were the contenders for the captaincy task. In the task, each of them has to play a DJ, and they have to impress the housemates with their proposals as to what they would do if they became the next captain. Later Raj Shekar received the most votes and became the House Captain of Week 3.
	Saved contestants	Day 14: Adi, Faima, Geetu, Marina & Rohit, Raj, and Revanth were declared safe from Week 2 Eviction.

	Luxury Budget Task	Day 16-17: Forest task, where the members of the house have been divided into two teams police and thieves. As part of the task, the police should prevent the thieves from picking up valuable items put up in the exterior of the Bigg Boss house. Things with a red band around them are valuable, with the others are not. According to the rules of the game, if any thief is found in the forest after their signal, can be put in jail. Geetu, on the other hand, is a businesswoman, to whom the thieves can sell the toys they found, and they should come to an agreement with her, regarding how much they’d be paid. In the end, whichever team has the most number of toys, wins. Later police team won the task Police Team: Adi, Aditya, Chanti, Faima, Inaya, Marina & Rohit, Raj, and Sri Thieves Team: Arjun, Arohi, Keerthi, Neha, Revanth, Shrihan, Sudeepa, Surya, and Vasanthi Business Woman: Geetu
	Jail	Day 19: Arjun Kalyan, Arohi Rao, and Keerthi Bhat received zero from the task later they decide Arjun Kalyan to go as the least performing candidates of the week, and were sent to jail.
	Captaincy Task	Day 18-19: Adi, Faima, Geetu, Shrihan, and Sri were the contenders for the captaincy task. In the first level, contenders have to creates the bricks pyramid will be the winner and other side housemates can break the pyramid with throwing the ball in the pyramid. Geetu and Faima disqualified by the game. In the second level, Adi, Shrihan and Sri need to win this round with their efforts and contenders need to fill sand in their container and have to make the flag come up to win the captaincy. Later Adi Reddy won the task and became the House Captain of Week 4.

	Luxury Budget Task	Day 23-24: BB Hotel task, where the housemates have been divided into three groups, with one group being a part of BB Hotel, second group being a part of Hotel Glam Paradise, and the third group being customers from varied backgrounds. Sudeepa was made the manager of BB Hotel, which has Aditya, Chanti, Marina as its members, while Revanth and Geethu have been made the servers of the hotel. Hotel Glam Paradise has Faima as its manager, while Arohi, Keerthi, Sri, and Vasanthi as its members the other members. Adi, Arjun, Inaya, Raj, Rohit, Shrihan, Rohit, and Surya are the customers. Whichever group ends up winning the most money, in the end, turns out to be the winner of the task. The task of the hotel members is to get the customers to their hotel, and by preventing them from going to the other hotel, by giving the customers the best possible deals. Chanti’s secret task is to send the customers away from BB Hotel, to Hotel Glam Paradise. Later Hotel Glam Paradise being in the lead, they remove Aditya and Revanth from BB Hotel. On the other hand Chanti failed the secret task.
	Jail	Day 26: Arjun Kalyan as the least performing candidates of the week, and were sent to jail.
	Captaincy Task	Day 25-26: Arjun, Arohi, Faima, Geetu, Keerthi, Rohit, Raj, Shrihan, Sri, Sudeepa, and Vasanthi were the contenders for the captaincy task. In the first level, Bigg Boss giving the other members the opportunity to box the person they seem unfit to be the captain. Housemates have to run to a boxing glove that was put in the lawn, as part of this task, and whoever manages to get the glove first, will get the opportunity to box out one contestant. Arjun, Arohi, Faima, Geetu, Rohit, Raj, Shrihan, and Vasanthi were out of the task. In the second level Keerthi, Sri, and Sudeepa were given the task to fill a stand with Captain letters, in the garden area, which they had to do so, by running from one end where the letters were to the other end where they had to hang the letters, on blocks. They couldn’t run or walk on the round and half to walk only using these blocks, by not putting their feet on the ground. Later Keerthi Bhat won the task and became the House Captain of Week 5.

Whoever received point, they a special cake. Arjun, Geetu, Keerthi and Revanth performed songs. Shrihan, Sri, and Sudeepa performed dance. Arjun, Faima, Keerthi and Raj performed drama.

	Captaincy Task	Day 32-33: Aditya, Faima, Geetu, Raj, Revanth and Surya were the contenders selected by current captain Keerthi Bhat. In the first level, Adi, contenders need to cut the log with axe and have to make the sand bag come down. Faima, Geetu and Raj on the game. In the second level, war of garlands, housemates to put the garlands on contenders, who they support. Later L. V. Revanth recived more garlands and became the house captain of Week 6.

	Luxury Budget Task	Day 37-39: Battery Recharge, Bigg Boss gave with 100% charge has been installed in the garden area, and also planned some surprise for housemates. But for every surprise the battery level decrease. Bigg Boss also warned, if anyone breaks the house rules, the charge will also reduce. Shrihan choose food from home which reduce 15%. Sudeepa choose audio call with husband which reduce 30%. Revanth violate house rules, sleeping in day which reduce 5% and Geetu also violate house rules, not wearing mic properly which reduce 5%. Adi choose video call with wife and daughter which reduce 40%. Aditya quits smoking to increase battery to 90%. Geetu choose audio call with her father which reduce 15%. Arjun choose video message with his father which reduce 35%. Revanth violate house rules, sleeping in day which reduce 5%. Inaya choose photo frame of her father which reduce 25%. Faima performed a task along with housemates which made the battery to go to 85%. Sri choose video call with her parents which reduce 35%. Aditya choose audio call with wife and daughter which reduce 50%. Rohit got self-nominated for two weeks to reset battery to 100%. Revanth choose photo frame from home which reduce 10%. Faima choose video message with her mother which reduce 25%. Keerthi choose audio call with her friend Maanas which reduce 15%. Surya choose letter from home which reduce 20%. Vasanthi choose photo frame from home which reduce 15%. Raj choose audio call with his mother which reduce 15%.

	Captaincy Task	Day 39-40: Ball Catch, all housemates have to pick the ball and put it on basket. Adi, Arjun, Raj, Revanth, Sri, Surya, and Vasanthi picked the ball fastest. Faima and Keerthi failed because of Aditya and Sudeepa helped Rohit. Later Adi, Arjun, Raj, Revanth, Rohit, Sri, Surya, and Vasanthi were the contenders for the captaincy task. As part of this captaincy task, contenders who went to the contenders door zone after taking the flower vases of other contenders, the person who has with them is out of game. And the person who came last with other contender vase need to impress the housemates with their proposals as to what they would do if they became the next captain. Later RJ Surya won the task and became the House Captain of Week 7.
