History[]
1999-2014: Hot FM[]
DYHR was established on January 1, 1999 as 91.5 Hot FM with the slogan "Today's Best Music". Its first studio and facilities were at the Cinco Centro Inn in Fuente Osmeña. According to a radio survey conducted by Nielsen Research, 91.5 Hot FM was the #1 FM station in the city from 1999 to 2002. Among its notable weekend programs were Hot Wil G, a Saturday night program that featured the top 20 songs simulcasted on other major Hot FM stations with city-specific DJs and Hot Mix, a Sunday morning program that played non-stop dance and re-mixes.
In 2006, Hot FM moved to its new location at the Eggling Subdivision in Busay Hills, along with sister stations DYBU and DYES.
In 2008, Hot FM adopted the Cebuano version of Yes FM's slogan "Automatic Nah!" (Cebuano for Automatic Yan!), and inherited the imaging of Yes FM, which became Easy Rock the following year. In 2009, Hot FM started airing its Sunday program block "Sunday Radio Marathon", which featured a variety of songs from the past.[3]
2014-present: Yes FM/Yes The Best[]
On February 24, 2014, the station, along with the other O&O Hot FM stations in Dagupan and Zamboanga, rebranded as Yes FM. This marked the return of the said branding in the market after five years. In 2015, Yes FM also carried its slogan Sa Yes FM, di jud ka mabitin!. In 2016, it changed its slogan to Ang Wa Pa Kasuway, Panuway Mo sa Yes FM!.[4]
Following the launching of The new Face of YES!, on May 1, 2017, Yes FM was rebranded once more as 91.5 Yes The Best, with its new slogan "The Millennials' Choice". Under its relaunched brand, Yes The Best started airing its notable programs Yes The Best: Top 20, a weekday program which listed of top 20 most requested hits; Request On The Fly, a weekday noontime program where listeners can voice message thru Facebook and ask for their requested song and Throwback Thursday, a Thursday program that played the songs from the past. From 2019 to September 2020, it carried the slogan "Ang Wa Pa Kasuway, Maglaway!".[5][6]
On November 15, 2021, Yes The Best alongside with sister stations has launched their new logos and its new corporate slogan, Sama-Sama Tayo, Pilipino! (lit. We are all Filipinos!).
