List of Historic Sites of Japan (Yamagata)
This list is of the Historic Sites of Japan located within the Prefecture of Yamagata.[1]
National Historic Sites[]
As of 1 December 2020, thirty Sites have been designated as being of national significance, including the Nakayamagoe Pass, which spans the prefectural borders with Miyagi, and Mount Chōkai, which spans the prefectural borders with Akita.[2][3]
Prefectural Historic Sites[]
As of 1 May 2020, thirty-two Sites have been designated as being of prefectural importance.[11][12]
Municipal Historic Sites[]
As of 1 May 2020 a further one hundred and seventy-two Sites have been designated as being of municipal importance,[14] including:
