Hroznová Lhota is a municipality and village in Hodonín District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,200 inhabitants. It is located at northern foothill of the White Carpathians mountain range, about 5 km southeast of Veselí nad Moravou and 22 km east-northeast of Hodonín. A protected landscape area White Carpathians extends from the south just into centre of the municipality.
Etymology[]
The municipality has a long vine-growing tradition, hence the name meaning Grapes' Lhota which has been in use since late 16th century. Prior it the municipality was named just Lhota or Lhota Veselská.[2]
