Kneehill County is a municipal district situated in Division No. 5, Alberta, central Alberta.

The presence of oil and natural gas in the region has attracted some industry.

In the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, Kneehill County recorded a population of 5,001 living in 1,722 of its 1,859 total private dwellings, a 1.6% change from its 2011 population of 4,921. With a land area of 3,381.02 km2 (1,305.42 sq mi), it had a population density of 1.5/km2 (3.8/sq mi) in 2016.[2]

In the 2011 Census, Kneehill County had a population of 4,921 living in 1,670 of its 1,817 total dwellings, a −5.7% change from its 2006 population of 5,218. With a land area of 3,380.04 km2 (1,305.04 sq mi), it had a population density of 1.5/km2 (3.8/sq mi) in 2011.[3]
