Maku County (Persian: شهرستان ماکو) is a county in West Azerbaijan Province in Iran. The capital of the county is Maku. At the 2016 census, the county's population (including those portions that were later split off to form Poldasht County and Showt County) was 174,578, in 39,765 families; excluding those portions, the population was 94,751 in 19,238 families.[1] The county is subdivided into two districts: the Central District and Bazargan District.[2] The county has two cities: Maku and Bazargan.
