Gishi (Armenian: Գիշի also Gish Գիշ) or Kish (Azerbaijani: Kiş) is a village de facto in the Martuni Province of the self-proclaimed Republic of Artsakh, de jure in the Khojavend District of Azerbaijan. The village has an ethnic Armenian-majority population, and also had an Armenian majority in 1989.[2]

Economy and culture[]

The population is mainly engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry. As of 2015, the village has a municipality building, a House of Culture, a secondary school, six shops and an aid station.[1]

The village had 1,234 inhabitants in 2005,[3] and 1,115 inhabitants in 2015.[1]
