Ghavakhan (Armenian: Ղավախան, also Kavahan, Կավահան) or Gavahyn (Azerbaijani: Gavahın) is a village de facto in the Martuni Province of the self-proclaimed Republic of Artsakh, de jure in the Khojavend District of Azerbaijan.

History[]

During the Soviet period, the village was a part of the Martuni District of the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast.

Demographics[]

The village has an ethnic Armenian-majority population, had 124 inhabitants in 2005,[2] and 75 inhabitants in 2015.[1]
