Season chronology |
The German television mystery music game show I Can See Your Voice aired its inaugural shortlived first season, which premiered on RTL as part of the network's Power Week special double pilot episode broadcast[1][2] on 18 August 2020.[3][4]
For this season, production was forced to halt indefinitely after the debut broadcasts sought for ignoring health and safety protocols due to the COVID-19 pandemic, similar to its fate on the Philippine second season.[5][6]
Gameplay[]
Format[]
Under the original format, both guest artist and contestant can eliminate one or two mystery singers in each round, and the last mystery singer standing will perform a duet.[7]
Rewards[]
If the last mystery singer is a good singer, the contestant wins a cash prize of €10.000. On the other hand, if the last mystery singer is a bad singer, the same amount is given to the winning bad singer itself.
Rounds[]
There are seven individuals of mystery singers standing on a platform to keep identities concealed until the "stage of truth" performance.
- Round 1: First impression (German: Erster Eindruck)
The guest artist and contestant are given some time to observe and examine each mystery singer based on their appearance.
- Round 2: Lip sync challenge (German: Lip sync)
Each mystery singer performs a lip sync to a song. Good singers are miming to own voices while bad singers are miming to other's voices.
- Round 3: Fact or fake (German: Fakt oder Fake)
A proof of each mystery singer's singing ability (i.e. photo, video, certificates, etc.) is shown on the screen.
- Round 4: Cross-examination (German: Kreuzverhör)
The guest artist and contestant must have then 60 seconds to interrogate the remaining mystery singers before making the final decision.
