I Can See Your Voice Indonesia is an Indonesian television mystery music game show series on MNCTV. It is based on the South Korean program of the same name.
Gameplay[]
Format[]
A guest artist is presented with a group of six "mystery singers" — some of them are good singers, and some are bad. The artist must attempt to eliminate bad singers from the group by guessing who they are without hearing them sing. They get assistance from clues by "celebrity panelists" over the course of three rounds. The artist will eliminate one to two singers at the end of each round and then proceeding to perform on the "stage of truth". At the end, the winning mystery singer is revealed as good or bad by means of a duet with one of the guest artists.[1]
The Indonesian version has two gameplay formats:
- Original format
- Under the original format, the guest artist can eliminate one or two mystery singers in each round, and the last mystery singer standing will perform a duet.
- Versus format (season 3)
- Under the versus format (adopted by Giọng ải giọng ai), both guest artists can eliminate one mystery singer each in the first two rounds, and then both can choose one mystery singer each to perform a duet in the third round. The winning conditions for the mystery singer chosen by guest artist, depending on the outcome of a duet performance, if:
- One guest artist has chosen a "good singer" and the other one has chosen a "bad singer"; or
- Both two guest artists have chosen a "good singer" or a "bad singer".
Rewards[]
If the last mystery singer is a good singer, he/she will feature on a privilege video alongside guest artist. On the other hand, if the last mystery singer is a bad singer, he/she wins a cash prize of Rp17.500.000, until the fourth season, and then Rp10.000.000, since the fifth season.
Rounds[]
There are six individuals of mystery singers standing on a platform to keep identities concealed until the "stage of truth" performance.
- Singer's visual
The guest artist is given some time to observe and examine each mystery singer based on their appearance.[a][b][c][d][e] Afterward, a muted video of each mystery singer that reveals only 0.3 seconds of their singing voice is played as an additional hint.[a]
The mystery singers perform altogether in a single song, but with real voices being pre-recorded instead.[d]
- Singer's lip sync
Each mystery singer performs a lip sync to a song. Good singers are miming to own voices while bad singers are miming to other's voices.[a][b][c][d]
The mystery singer lip syncs to the good singer's voice, then a bad singer's voice comes in the middle of the performance.[e]
- Singer's evidence
A proof of each mystery singer's singing ability (i.e. photo, video, certificates, etc.) is shown on the screen.[a][b][c][d]
Three random panelists must wear headphones to listen to the mystery singer's real voice for 15 seconds. Afterward, the panelist must defend the mystery singer and convince the guest artist to choose him/her as the final mystery singer.[c]
The guest artist is presented with a video recording from a studio session on each mystery singer, although the audio is distorted so they cannot clearly hear their vocals.[e]
