Veo cómo cantas[1] (English: I see how you sing) is a Spanish television mystery music game show series on Antena 3. It is an adaptation of South Korean programme I Can See Your Voice.

Gameplay[]

Format[]

Presented with a group of nine "mystery singers" identified only by their occupation, a guest artist and contestant must attempt to eliminate bad singers from the group without ever hearing them sing, assisted by clues and a celebrity panel over the course of six rounds. At the end of the game, the last remaining mystery singer is revealed as either good or bad by means of a duet between them and one of the guest artists.[2][3]

Rewards[]

The contestant must eliminate one mystery singer at the end of each round, receiving €3.000 if they eliminate a bad singer. At the end of the game, the contestant may either end the game and keep the money they had won in previous rounds, or risk it if they believe that the last remaining mystery singer is a good singer. If the singer is good, the contestant gets doubled of their earnings; if the singer is bad, the contestant loses all of their winnings and is given to the bad singer instead.

Rounds[]

Each episode presents the guest artist and contestant nine people whose identities and singing voices are kept concealed until they are eliminated to perform on the "stage of truth" or join in the final performance.

  1. By the face (Spanish: Por la cara)
    The guest artist and contestant are given some time to observe and examine each mystery singer based on their appearance.
  2. Lip sync (Spanish: Sincronización labial)
    Each mystery singer performs a lip sync to a song. Good singers mime to a recording of their own performance, while bad singers mime to a recording of someone's else.
  3. Gossip my life (Spanish: Cotillea mi vida)
    The guest artist and contestant are presented with a video clue package in which one of the mystery singers of their choice discusses their life and musical qualifications. Good singers are telling the truth, while bad singers are allowed to lie to deceive them.
  4. Musical skill (Spanish: Habilidad musical)
    The guest artist and contestant must describe one of the mystery singer's other talents, except "singing" itself. It may unrelated to the stage of truth, but it depends on the mystery singer's identity.
  5. Rehearsal (Spanish: Ensayo)
    The guest artist and contestant are presented with a video recording from a studio session by one of the remaining mystery singers of their choice, although the audio is pitch-shifted so they cannot clearly hear their vocals.
  6. Interrogation (Spanish: Interrogatorio)
    The guest artist and contestant can converse and ask questions of one of the remaining mystery singers. As before, good singers must answer truthfully, while bad singers may lie.

Background and development[]

Atresmedia first announced the development of the series in November 2020.[4] The programme is produced by Warner Bros. International Television Production.[5]

Filming[]

Filmings for the series took place at an unknown location in Madrid.[6] Since the first season, tapings have been implemented health and safety protocols due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[7]

Broadcast[]

Veo cómo cantas debuted on 8 September 2021.[8] The series has been renewed for the second season premiering in 2022.[9][10]

"The series employs a team of "celebrity panelists" who decipher mystery singers' evidences throughout the game. Alongside with full-timers and additional ones, guest panelists also appear since the first season. Throughout its broadcast, the programme has assigned 4 different panelists.
