I Can See Your Voice is a Belgian Dutch-language television mystery music game show that premiered on VTM on 26 March 2022.[1] It is an adaptation of the South Korean programme of the same name in the Flemish community.
Gameplay[]
Format[]
Presented with a group of seven "mystery singers" identified only by their occupation, a guest artist and a group of two contestants must attempt to eliminate bad singers from the group without ever hearing them sing, assisted by clues and a celebrity panel over the course of five rounds. At the end of the game, the last remaining mystery singer is revealed as either good or bad by means of a duet between them and one of the guest artists.[2][3]
Rewards[]
If the singer is good, the contestants win €2.500; if the singer is bad, the same amount is given to the bad singer instead.
Rounds[]
Each episode presents the guest artist and contestants seven people whose identities and singing voices are kept concealed until they are eliminated to perform on the "stage of truth" or join in the final performance.
- First impression (Dutch: Eerste indruk)
The guest artist and contestants are given some time to observe and examine each mystery singer based on their appearance. - Lip sync (Dutch: Lipsynchronisatie)
Each mystery singer performs a lip sync to a song. Good singers mime to a recording of their own performance, while bad singers mime to a recording of someone's else. - Video clue (Dutch: Video aanwijzing)
The guest artist and contestants are presented with a video clue package in which one of the mystery singers discusses their life and musical qualifications. Good singers are telling the truth, while bad singers are allowed to lie to deceive them. - Secret studio (Dutch: Geheime studio)
The guest artist and contestants are presented with a video recording from a studio session by one of the mystery singers, although the audio is pitch-shifted so they cannot clearly hear their vocals. - Interrogation (Dutch: De ondervraging)
The guest artist and contestants can converse and ask questions of one of the remaining mystery singers. As before, good singers must answer truthfully, while bad singers may lie.
Production[]
DPG Media Belgium first announced the development of the series in March 2021.[4][5] The programme is produced by Warner Bros. International Television Production.
