Planá (German: Plan) is a municipality and village in České Budějovice District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 300 inhabitants.
Geography[]
Planá lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) southwest from České Budějovice. The Vltava river makes its southern and eastern municipal border.
History[]
The first written mention of Planá is from 1259. Between 1961 and 1990, it was an administrative part of Homole. Since 24th November 1990, it has been a separate municipality.[2]
