Doudleby (German: Teindles) is a village and municipality (obec) in České Budějovice District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.

The municipality covers an area of 5.85 square kilometres (2.26 sq mi), and has a population of around 480.

Doudleby lies on the Malše river, approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) south of České Budějovice and 133 km (83 mi) south of Prague.

According to chronicle by Cosmas of Prague (12th century), the fortified settlement was part of early medieval Slavník's territory and etymological derives from the Slavic tribe of Dulebes,[2] who lived there as in the mid-10th century, Al-Masudi mentioned them as Dūlāba and their "king" (ruler) as Wānjslāf (most probably Wenceslaus I, Duke of Bohemia).[3]
