Nurhak (Kurdish: Nûrheq[3]) is a town and district of Kahramanmaraş Province in the Mediterranean region of Turkey. According to 2000 census, the district area's population was 17,260,[4] and the district center had a population of 8,118.

Together with Elbistan and Pazarcık, Nurhak is considered to have the main portion of the Alevi population in the province of Kahramanmaraş. Alevis in the region are generally Kurds, while Sunnis are generally Turks.[5]
