Local elections will be held in Quezon City on May 9, 2022 within the Philippine general election. Registered voters of the city elected candidates for the following elective local posts: mayor, vice mayor, district representative, and six councilors at-large for each district. There are six legislative districts in the city.
Incumbent Mayor Joy Belmonte is running for her second term against Anakalugusan party-list representative Mike Defensor.[1][2]
Vice Mayor Gian Sotto is running for his second term against incumbent second district Councilor Winnie Castelo.[3]
In the congressional race, four incumbent representatives, Anthony Peter Crisologo, Precious Hipolito-Castelo, Allan Benedict Reyes and Bong Suntay are running for reelection in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th districts respectively.[2][4] 5th District Representative Alfred Vargas and 6th District Representative Kit Belmonte are term-limited.[5]

Incumbent Joy Belmonte will run for her second term under Serbisyo sa Bayan Party. She will face former 3rd District and incumbent ANAKALUSUGAN Partylist representative Mike Defensor of Malayang Quezon City coalition, and seven other candidates. Defensor and his entire ticket got the endorsement from former Mayor Herbert Bautista, who is known as an ally of Belmonte.[10]
Incumbent Gian Sotto is running for his second term, facing his distant relative, former 2nd district representative Winnie Castelo and two other candidates.
Incumbent Anthony Peter Crisologo is running for reelection. His opponents are actor Arjo Atayde and MSME Entrepreneur Marcus Aurelius Dee. Among the three running, Crisologo (has lived in Heroes Hills, Brgy. Santa Cruz his whole life) and Dee are the only natives of District 1.
Incumbent Precious Hipolito-Castelo is running for reelection. She will face five other candidates, including Ralph Tulfo, son of broadcaster and senatorial candidate Raffy Tulfo.
Alfred Vargas is on his third term as representative and is barred to seek reelection. Instead, he is running as councilor and his ticket nominated his brother, incumbent councilor PM Vargas. Other notable candidates are businesswoman Rose Lin and former 2nd district representative Mary Ann Susano. Lin was originally nominated by Lakas–CMD but she later resigned from the party on November 19, 2021.[11]
Kit Belmonte is on his third term as representative and is barred to seek reelection. His ticket nominated incumbent councilor Marivic Co-Pilar. Also running for the vacant position are former 1st District representative Vincent Crisologo and lawyer Tricia Nicole Velasco-Catera.
