Carcans (French pronunciation: ​[kaʁkɑ̃]; Occitan: Carcan, [kaɾˈka]), also known as Carcans-Maubuisson (pronounced [kaʁkɑ̃ mobɥisɔ̃]), is a commune in the Gironde department, administrative region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France.

Carcans is a member of the Community of Municipalities Médoc's Lakes which includes the municipalities of Lacanau, Carcans, and Hourtin.
