Casteil (French pronunciation: [castɛj] (About this soundlisten); Catalan: Castell de Vernet) is a commune in the Pyrénées-Orientales department in southern France, part of the historical Conflent comarca. The abbey Martin-du-Canigou is located above Casteil.
